This is a very good site. Photography enthusiasts will be impressed by the large gallery of photos presented. Information about the society, its activities and how to join are also provided. The site is artistically designed and the overall look is thematic and consistent. Navigation is very straight forward, with the use of an easy to use navigation bar. Images are sometimes a little slow to download, but it is worthwhile to be patient and to view the photographs.

The society hosts a permanent collection online of its members' best works; all photos have either won the society's own Slattery Trophy or prizes in the Premier National Competitions organised by the Irish Photographic Society. Also included are vintage photos from bygone days of Monaghan, plus a selection of Internet photography links.

Who would have guessed thatCounty Monaghan was a haven for progressive artwork and truly innovative photography? Traditional grim stoney grey fields give way to an impressive selection of images inspired by contrasting light, shadow and landscape in this recently launched site by the Monaghan Photographic Society. A very nice piece of websitery indeed, admirably designed by those talented Archeire folk.
